As guidance is changing all the time, we aim to provide you with the most up to date information as we can.
We understand that losing someone is hard enough to deal with, without having the added pressure of restrictions, so we at Hughes Funeral Directors aim to implement the restrictions that will keep yourselves and us safe but limiting the amount off stress caused by this.
When someone dies that has been affected by COVID-19 please call us as soon as possible to enable us to bring your loved one into our care in a safe yet dignified manner.
When visiting us, please make make arrangements following the guideline such as limiting it to 2 people where possible, and wearing a face covering. And please do not visit if you are isolating or have symptoms. If you are unable to visit, please let us know and will work with you to come up with alternative arrangements.
We will still allow you to visit your loved one in our chapel of rest providing hygienic preparation has taken place.
Will ask that only two people visit the chapel of rest at any one time and wear masks at all time and use hand sanitiser provided on entering and exiting. The chapel and areas will be professionally cleaned after each visit to ensure the safety of our other clients.
We ask you do not attend if you are isolating or have any symptoms. We will work with you and other arrangements can be made.
The guidelines differ at each crematorium, as such we will advice you on this when the choice of crematorium has been made. The guideline numbers that have been set are for mourners only and do not include funeral staff. Most crematoriums offer a video link that will enable those who are unable to attend to live stream the service.
When traveling in our cars, we ask that all mourners please wear a face covering, to protect yourselves and our staff, and where possible please open the window slightly.
We will ensure all vehicles are cleaned before and after.
